About Dr Michael Stephen

Dr Michael Stephen has been a vascular surgeon for 40 years. 

Dr Stephen started as Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney,and then at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (1980-2011) He was also in the Transplant Unit t( liver and kidney) until 2005 and Consultant Vascular Surgeon to RAHC until 1997,and VMO at MVDH 1986-2005. He was involved in the first “keyhole” surgery performed for aortic aneurysms in Australia,and has maintained this interest in minimally invasive surgery since.

Dr Stephen consults with Sydney Vascular at Dee Why and Macquarie Clinic, and operates at the Mater and Macquarie University hospitals.
